August 2012 in a nutshell

WOW!~ I can not believe I have not posted since the 4th of July!! It has been a little busy around here.  August flew by, with fun weekends at the pool and Gymboree, Patrick and I celebrated our 7th Wedding Anniversary, we went up to Ohio to visit my side of the family, Morgan had another Dr. appt. to prepapre for her surgery, which is one week from today and lots of growing from Morgan. She started walking really well, and now does her funny run/power walk, she is babbling a lot more, altho no more actual words ther then the most important one "ma ma" We are certain that after surgery she will make more actual sounds to form words. She loves to dance, moves that little butt so fast haha it is adorable! She spins in circles, stops and then keeps going....she loves to sit on the couch and cuddle, or in Baba's chair with him.  When Patrick gets home from work she lights up and rushes over to see him, it is the sweetest thing!  We changed naps around where now she takes a nap after lunch, at about 12 or so, depending on what time she got up that day.  (Altho as I type this she is not sleeping, and I am pretty sure it will end up being a no nap day) The past few days she has run a low grade fever and has had a stuffy nose...she also has not been falling asleep until 10pm and 11pm.....but today she woke up with no fever, so that is great! She eats anything you offer her, for the most part...and if she refuses to eat Patrick wips out the chopsticks...seriously she will all of a sudden eat when it is given to her with chop sticks...it is funny! She even tried to use them herself the other day, to pick up a slice of bacon.....This coming Thursday is pre op for her surgery, which is next week Tuesday,, the 18th.  I am a complete mess inside, but am wearing my brave mommy face on the outside, so she does not get upset.....the hardest part is that there is no way to explain it to her, that this is for the best and we will take care of her during recovery.....Yes we have said to her that she will be having surgery to close the hole in her mouth, but really that makes no sense to an 18 month old.....it just breaks my heart, but I know we will get thru this, and she will bounce right back to her normal funny self who always makes us die laughing.  A new thing she just started is when she sees one of us yawn, she will open up her mouth too haha.  Ok, now time for pictures, enjoy!
